While studying for Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Counseling) in UMS, she had the privilege of securing an internship at Hospital National University of Malaysia (HUKM) and while there, she was guided by her supervisors to provide counselling services to patients who were suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attacks and schizophrenia. Soon after, she realized that her passion was to work with children and adults experiencing various psychological issues. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree and obtaining a counsellor’s licence, she worked for a while in Beacon Cancer Specialist Hospital, where she provided counselling services for inpatients and outpatients who were suffering from illness and pain. She also organized cancer support groups for the patients and their family members. 

Her clinical training has given her opportunities to work with people who have academic, adjustment and self-esteem issues. She has worked with children with special needs, as well as with children with behavioural and emotional issues. She works well with both adults and children from different ethnic groups and from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her experience includes conducting psychology-related workshops for the community. She has collaborated with other health professionals on case referrals and management.

Her psychotherapy orientation includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Humanistic-Existential Therapy, Social Skills Training, and Mindfulness-related Therapies.
